Everything an artist does during his/her career is connected - releasing music, social media promotion, touring, merchandising and so on. For example, if the promotion is done right the release can be strong, if the tour is sold out you can sell a lot of merch there…
Releasing music into the world can be both satisfying and nerve-racking for artist as well as the team on the one hand you are happy that after all the hard work it’s finally out for people to enjoy, on the other hand you can’t stop but thinking how will it be received, by your fans and other people. Before the nerves and satisfaction can hit you, the mentioned hard work needs to be done, which includes (apart from creating the music) designing timelines and release strategies, booking collaborations and promotion interviews and producing merchandise.
From creating music to actually releasing it is a long way consisting especially of dates of releasing promos and doing interviews. Good timing in all of that is crucial as if don’t have any break from doing promos people will get annoyed or if you have too many long breaks between doing promos people will forget what you’re actually promoting, and they’ll lose interest. Wherever you want to release the music - either all streaming platforms and shops or just some selected - all the links need to be ready pre-save/pre-order, save/download for all the platforms and shops, if there’s a video then also link for that too.
The release is not the end of the timeline and dates. Release of the video, live performances and interviews, announcing tour dates, then actually going on tour. During that time, it is great to also start merchandising either yourself (your brand) or your music. In merchandising you can get creative, the only stop is your imagination (well budget is also a little stop here), from t-shirts to little figurines of yourself.
A team can do better job than just one person. They can go into more detail and be further prepared. That is why you should get Artist Management at Kuna Production and we’ll provide release strategies, timelines for single and album campaigns together with strategic collaborations and partnerships, merchandising, fan engagement and publishing.
