Artists earn majority of money from touring and it’s a great way to promote your album, single or just yourself. However, a lot of planning needs to go to put it all together - from visas, security and routing there are tons of details that you cannot forget about or it could create conflict later on. That is what tour management takes care of.
Assembling a tour can take a lot of time (and nerves - especially if you’re considering doing something bigger) and sometimes you have to start planning even a year or more before the release.
Let’s start from the beginning - Why do you want to go on tour? Do you want to party with your fans, or do you want to promote something, if so - What do you want to promote? Your albums, your single, are they out yet or will they be coming out right before the start of the tour? Do you want to play at festivals, or do you want to do it on your own? What cities/countries do you want to go to and how do you want to get there? These and a lot more questions need to be answered before something actually happens. It is important to choose wisely as it’s hard change it during the tour.
As Amy Thompson writes in her book “Artist Management & Marketing”. Say, you are choosing between playing at the festivals or having your own concerts - called hard tickets. At festivals you usually have little control over where you’ll play, how much time they’ll give you, marketing and stage is the same for everyone, on the other hand festival are normally held at large venues where there won’t be only your fans but also fans of other artists who could become your fans too, also sometimes hotels and travel is provided - keep “sometimes” in mind. At hard tickets concerts you have 99% control over everything (i mean you can’t control the weather and well... travel restrictions), you do your own marketing, you set up your own stage etc. Although only your fans will come to your show so there won’t be a chance for you to get new fans there, and also you will probably play a smaller venue than at the festivals. Here you have no choice but to book everything. In either case with our Tour Management we can book hotels, flights - also flight check-in, cars rider or private jet and helicopters as well as security for artist and the crew.
You have chosen what you want to play and now logistics come to play. Routing is really important because if done well, it can save a lot of money in your budget and time. Especially nowadays traveling somewhere is actually getting harder than easier. That is why to make moving in-between places more comfortable and safer you can take a private jet or helicopter which is also part of our services. It saves a lot of time as you can land in the city that you need as opposed to commercial airlines. No crowds at the airport as you go through private security check and you’re on the plane alone or with the people you choose - all considering the latest health safety measures.
Tour management can be a stressful job so let us worry about that. Aside from hotels, flights, cars, private jet or helicopter, rider and security booking, you’ll get full travel itineraries international visa affairs, guestlist management and artist visuals and in case something comes up or doesn’t go according to plan we have 24/7 emergency line - all of that with Tour management at Kuna Production.
